<p>Bosco undertook an extensive renovation to an existing 3 level penthouse in the City Centre. The job specification was top end and involved stripping the apartment back to a shell and then putting it back together &#8211; all at the top of a busy city street.</p>

<h1>Innovation and Problem Solving</h1>
<p>In the words of Bosco&#8217;s Steve Talbot</p>
<p><em>&#8220;The biggest problem on this job was the access &#8211; there was one small lift which was in constant use by the residents of  this exclusive apartment block.</em></p>
<p><em>Having stripped the apartment down we basically shipped it out through the lobby in sealed buckets to ensure there was no mess or disruption. We worked closely with the neighbours to manage the deliver of materials and parking.</em></p>
<p><em>The team showed great innovation when we closed the street on a Sunday to get the crane in place to lift the major elements of the build up to the top floor.</em></p>
<p><em>We worked closely with the architect throughout the whole build and despite the fact that the client was overseas for the majority of the project we were able to keep the client up to speed and keep the project on track.&#8221;</em></p>
<h1>Outcome</h1>
<p>The client was delighted with the work process and the final outcome. </p>

<p>According to Bosco&#8217;s site foreman</p>
<p><em>&#8220;Access was difficult on this job. The lift was not really useful so we brought everything up and down a narrow flight of stairs. </em></p>
<p><em>There was also other remedial work happening in the rest of the building at the same time which had the potential to cause problems. We all used tact and great communication skills to keep everyone on board. </em></p>
<p><em>We worked closely with the architect and owners to ensure we achieved a top end finish.&#8221;</em></p>

<h1>Innovation and Problem Solving</h1>
<p>Windows are commercial grade which ensures they are low maintenance and easy to use, and are in keeping with the style of the home.<br /> <img class="alignright" src="http://boscobuilding.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/baltic-450.jpg" alt="baltic street" /></p>
<p>The sandstone foundations of the original cottage were recycled and form the stonework wall in the front yard and the indoor open fireplace.</p>
<p>Terrible weather made working conditions very difficult and caused considerable delays, Bosco caught up most of time lost to deliver the project to clients expected time lines.</p>

<p>&#8220;This project was a huge deal for us. It&#8217;s the first major build we&#8217;ve been involved in and we wanted to make the best of this great plot of land.</p>
<p>Bosco came recommended to me by a friend &#8211; I asked 4 builders to quote in the end. I chose Bosco because they had more focus up front. From day one Brendan the foreman was at all the meetings and I realised they were serious from that point on.</p>
<p>I went over the cost estimates again and again &#8211; I wanted to be absolutely sure I understood everything. Bosco were really good about this and went the extra mile to make sure I was comfortable with the quote.</p>
<p>Brendan the foreman is amazing &#8211; he is a massive asset to the company he ran the job and controlled the workmanship to ensure it was high quality. If turned up any time unannounced and the site was always tidy &#8211; it&#8217;s clear the team take pride in their workmanship.</p>
<p>I would also highly commend Bosco&#8217;s communication. I feel good communication with your builder is hugely important &#8211; it ensures nothing has chance to spiral out of control. Throughout the job I&#8217;d give the office a call and we&#8217;d catch up for coffee and we&#8217;d go through stuff.</p>
<p>I&#8217;d absolutely use Bosco again.&#8217;</p>
